When I was promoting DeeCash with a domain I owned, someone found my registrar info and called me and screamed that I ripped him off for $300+ on his credit card in the middle of the night. It took me awhile to figure out what was going on, but that week DeeCash folded and and jig was up. I felt bad for the guy and told him to talk to the credit card company. He was so livid! I had to explain the affiliate marketing business to him because he wanted to press charges on me. |
TheGeneral, Scott Pbits and Lasrado
First time they used that Epoch mail list they clocked more than 50,000 sales in 12 hours. Greg Lasrado close second. https://www.smh.com.au/national/the-...11-gdsd7h.html Scott https://www.couriermail.com.au/news/...b87f9c15b76a54 |

I don't understand why Savage 2 was a flop, the original Savage was such a fun game. |

I received (as did most here on GFY) one of his first games for S2 gaming. I looked him up the other day, he grew that gaming business pretty well, too. |

If we're talking affiliates, there were two massive SE spams in the early 2000s that would have made their owners millions.
First one, the fingerprints indicated it was done by someone who owned a fairly modest link list called hornyalien.com. He was using cloaked doorways pages and on the surfer versions he'd have one of those graphical full page ads that affiliate programs used to provide, and a multi niche "money bar" on the bottom, which was very progressive for the time. From memory it was the first big spam using thousands of interlinked .biz & .info domains, which had just come out and were treated differently from regular CNOs. He took over the serps for weeks. Second one was also cloaked spam, and he sent all his traffic to Nastydollars which was fairly new at the time and must have converted like absolute crazy with the new style tours. It was by far the biggest and most comprehensive SE spam in history, ever. It didn't matter what you searched for, there were just pages and pages of his domains. He literally took every single adult hit available from Google, shutting out every other site, and spilled into the mainstream serps as well, for at least 6 weeks. We're talking at least hundreds of millions and probably billions of hits of golden 2000s search traffic. Converting at 1:500 back in those days. Research at the time indicated he managed to get about 6 billion pages in the index. Hats off to those great SEOs, true inspirations. |

SEO traffic converts at 1:5 to 1:50 max (when searching for specific sites). At one point I owned many of the porn domain names SEO traffic. ie, milfhunter, bignaturals, etc... Was a nice income while it lasted. Trademark issues closed that up rather quickly. I also did pills and poker. Both converted nicely. Until the USA made it all go away. |
