What will be the impact of AGI for adult affiliates?
 

So many tech leaders and experts are confidently predicting that AGI will arrive as soon as this year or next, and that AI agents will be able to do nearly all jobs a human can do, only better and at a lower cost.

I don't want to get into a discussion as to whether this is true or not, only to consider how it would affect the dynamics of the porn industry and the affiliate model in particular.

First of all, porn affiliates could actually have some breathing space, as it might be a little while before 'uncensored' AI agents are available to do everything an adult affiliate does, just as we had to wait a long time for an uncensored chatbot to even be able to rewrite video descriptions.

But before long, a pay site will be able to just use an AI agent to 'promote' it in the way an affiliate does - building a tube site, or a PBN and so on.

And there will be so many AI PBNs and blogs online that Google will rank the pay sites themselves higher, which has already happened to a large extent with their Helpful Content Update of 2023. This wiped out a lot of my blogs, even though they were all hand-written.

I can see the value of high-quality domains increasing, as a good exact-match domain will be one of the things left to set affiliate sites apart. It will also be easier to use AI to develop a large portfolio of good domain names.

The entire article says it’s ‘hypothetical’ yet, AI can (and is) already doing the work of many 100x better than any human could do.

That doesn’t make it ‘hypothetical’ it makes it ‘reality’.

What they’re talking about it making AI even better than it already is, which of course if going to happen lol
