No.

Waterless tanks are a much better purchase.

like a combi heater, where the water is heated as you use it...

gas combi boiler? Yes, as itīs cheaper than an electric tank water heater.

If you mean a gas central heating with an immersion tank, maybe check with a water company, see whatīs best...

I know gas is cheaper than electric :thumbsup

I am dealing with this ATM as well - I am going from gas to electricity and my feeling is that as it's just me a hot water on demand system is better - If there were more people here then a tank would be better...

For years I had a natural gas tankless water heater. It kicked ass! Family of four and always hot water on demand.

Now the home I have doesn't have gas. It's all electric.
I wanted to get an electric tankless water heater...but several plumbers all told me that the electric ones are not good. Not sure why...maybe massive electric bills?
Anyway, that was my experience.

I sure do miss my old tankless water heater though.
The 75 gallon electric water heater we have now runs out after one good long shower. So we have to wait in between showers for more hot water. :(

You could get a bigger tank, i think they go up to 200 gallon, the one weīve got is about 50 gallon, so runs a good bath & then thatīs it, all the hot has gone :upsidedow

nice and cheap on electric though, daily cooking, heaters on, bathing daily, washing up, tv, laptops, lighting, fridge freezer & the usual stuff...

we pay about 120€ a month for our electric & no gas :thumbsup

I have a gas tankless and it's not bad, once you bleed the cold water out of the pipes and the hot gets all the way from the garage to the showers upstairs

thanks for input. Think I will just stick to a tank water heater.
