How to Make a Great SFW Promo (5 Rules)
With AV laws expanding, we as an industry must adapt by creating SFW landing pages and promos. We’ve been doing this for the past year, and we want to share our best practices with you.
Rule 0 - You Can’t Do It Sloppily Not all companies will change their promos—some operate in AV-free jurisdictions, some will change jurisdiction, and some will take the risk. That means our SFW promos will compete against NSFW content, and it won’t be an even battle. But just like David fighting Goliath, you can still win with the right approach. Rule 1 - Face Forward A nude body grabs attention—great boobs and a tight ass have been the core of this industry. But what works best beyond that? The face. We are facial recognition machines. A face is our passport, our identity. It’s where we look when meeting strangers, and it’s what instantly grabs attention. Prioritizing a strong, expressive face in your promo can be just as captivating as explicit imagery. Rule 2 - Strong Eye Contact What’s the most attention-grabbing part of the face? The eyes. There’s a big difference between a face looking directly at the viewer and one looking elsewhere. We instinctively prioritize direct eye contact—it demands attention, creates connection, and triggers an automatic response. It’s like someone saying, “Hey, what’s up?” without words. Rule 3 - Emotion Emotion signals that something important is happening. Everyday expressions don’t trigger strong reactions, but real, intense emotions do. Choose the most emotional moments—whether it's a facial expression, a pose, or a glance. And make sure it’s authentic. Fake emotions don’t engage people; they annoy them. Rule 4 - Flirting We’ve all met a woman who can trigger desire just by looking at you—sometimes even more effectively than a fully naked woman next to her. Flirtation is powerful. A subtle wink, a touch of the hair, a gentle bite of the lip or fingers—these cues signal attraction and captivate the audience. Use them. Rule 5 - The Unusual Anything unusual grabs attention—blue hair, violet lipstick, a unique pose, an unexpected location, or an unconventional outfit. Breaking the pattern of visual monotony prevents banner blindness and makes viewers notice the rest of your content. Post-Production Matters Your promo needs to pop. Enhance it with vibrant colors, strong contrast, and professional retouching. The stakes are too high to use a flat, lifeless image. Make it stand out. Plan Ahead The best promos aren’t created by accident. Keep these rules in mind during production so you capture the right moments from the start. Thanks for your time—we hope you find these tricks useful! |
Post some examples of your work from the past year?

EXCELLENT post. I talk to alot of people who want to get involved in the porn industry and all the fuck they can talk about are "big tits". Example: "I will post pictures of my wife's big tits on our website and make a killing, right?" Lol... When you want to sell anything, even porn, its the face and the expression. The nicer the face, the more honest+interesting the expression, the more attention it will grab. |
