Im making my site and using this font my bud gave me for some of the text.

Just dawned on me ...

If the surfer doesnt have the font installed, what happens?

Maybe i should make it into images or just use a different font?

You can have multiple fonts defined, so if the first one isnt on their comp, it goes to the next one, etc.

Also I believe you can make it so it asks to download the font for the site. although I dont remember how to make it check and then ask if you want to download the font or not

I think that's got some extras in it though. Need to doublecheck that.

there is only one font. God's font. verdana.

You know I've kept data on every stupid thing about paysite design I could follow including fonts. Stuff like taking the main font used from Arial to Verdana to Times, etc... Or just changing the join links from one to another. Verdana always does well but Arial had done a slight bit better until about five six months ago when we had to start doing more long form designs to convert all the TGP and MGP traffic. Now Verdana passed it up...

So I guess you're right. Anyone want to venture a guess as to why though?

Interesting study on fonts. Makes sense to what I found. When we switched to the designs that need more descriptive text, the Verdana did better but for short title type text the Arial was better.
