Phoenix has long been a strong voice in the fight for sex workers’ rights.

Her upbringing in Chicago exposed her to both poverty and police violence, experiences that shaped her determination to create change. These challenges inspired her to work tirelessly toward safeguarding the rights, safety, and dignity of sex workers.

When not involved in advocacy, Phoenix can usually be found nurturing her garden or working on crochet projects.

SWOP is a nationwide grassroots network focused on protecting the human rights of sex workers and their communities. Through education, organizing, and advocacy, the group works to combat stigma and violence, ensuring sex workers are supported and empowered.
