Have you ever had a chaturbate (or any other webcam model) filing DMCA w/google on your API site?
Just got a dmca notice from this fag.
https://chaturbate.com/gor21/ The site is nothing but wl with json feed. This idiot knows how to file dmca but has no idea how wl works? WTF? any french speaking people here can write him a nasty hello letter? |
That sounds like a rookie mistake on his end. Most White Label partners don't own the copyright to the content in the JSON feed—the main network does.
If you are pulling the feed legitimately through the network, his DMCA has no standing. I wouldn't waste time sending nasty letters; just file a counter-notice or contact the network's affiliate manager directly to get him to back off. |
I get models who no longer cam email me and ask me to remove all of 'their' content off of my aggregator's page. They have no clue what they are talking about as the only thing showing on the page is their past username.

Yes, all the time.
|
All the time. Automatically. Those are the stupid models. Thanks god they're not all like that.
|
I don't think people realize this is weaponized now. Check out most webcam model forums, subreddits or information websites and usually one of the first things being pushed is the use of DMCA to take down content, even if YOU have the legal right to promote it via API.

We get 100's per day. We've come up with systems to mostly automate replies to them.

Consider yourself lucky that this is your first. The automated DMCA companies are sending thousands per day to my sites and they are 99.9% fake claims

I'm just saying most DMCA is just based on scrapping search terms for model name. So more search web more DMCA. :( |
