Out of commission for a couple days.

If you need me, email me over the next couple of days... am getting my foot fixed tomorrow -- if I don't chicken out and refuse to have the surgery -- and I'll be making sure to get some GOOD meds...

So if I happen to post anything really off the wall over the next couple days, I'm blaming it on the drugs in advance ;)

Hopefully by Internext the cast and crutches will be gone, if not, then I'm going to shoot my doctor.

Steve 06-02-2003 12:08 AM

good luck with the surgery, Hopalong

I dont know whether I'm more tired of hopping along or being called hopalong ;)

This is the first time I've ever had surgery, I had never broken a bone til I did this, and I have had a total of 2 stitches in my hand as far as that goes.

The thought of a 6 inch cut in my foot makes me just about sick to my stomach.

quiet 06-02-2003 12:10 AM

surgery is a tough time. i've been through it a couple of times.

can you shoot me an email montreal at ultra-sites.com dot com? awhile ago you said i had a way to contact you, but i don't believe i did...

Chris 06-02-2003 12:10 AM

Good luck :glugglug

StuartD 06-02-2003 12:12 AM

see you back in tip top shape soon Kimmy :thumbsup

Steve 06-02-2003 12:12 AM

gotta do what you gotta do - just follow doctors orders, and let yourself heal up

I didn't have a problem with surgery, my problem was trying to get back to my routine way too fast

EscortBiz 06-02-2003 12:13 AM

good luck!

WiredGuy 06-02-2003 12:16 AM

Best of luck KimmyKim, we'll miss you but I wish you have a speedy recovery.

Why 06-02-2003 12:19 AM

iv had surgery a couple of times, its really not all that bad. the killer meds are worth it :)

ill fly to phoenix and make you soup while you recoperate

Kimmykim 06-02-2003 12:19 AM

I'm just a big baby about this kind of stuff I think... if I had accidentally sliced my foot open it would be different... and I wouldn't have time to sit around and think about all the things that could go wrong...

or all the stupid stuff I might start babbling when they put me under the anethesia lol ;)

I don't go in til noon, the whole things only supposed to take a couple of hours and then voila... ten days in stitches and then 6 -7 more weeks on crutches (hopefully)...

The shitty part of all this is that I did do what they told me to do. When I went for my first check in they said I was doing fine... then about ten days ago I went back, expecting to be told to dump the crutches and only wear the cast another week or two...

Boy it sucked when the doctor showed me the xrays and the bones had shifted further apart.

Oh well, quiet, you have mail :)

SleazyDream 06-02-2003 12:24 AM

good luck

Jay_StandAhead 06-02-2003 12:28 AM

you'll get tired of BEING hop-a-long. damn crutches "tucker ya out" real quick like. i ended up hobbling along with a cane instead on the crutches after my first trip through a store with `em.

good luck !!:thumbsup

foolio 06-02-2003 12:59 AM

Make sure the doctor is not drunk before he goes in - he may think he is a pilot or something....

So...Let me get this straight...

You are likely to be lying on your back and working for the next couple of months.

What else is new? :1orglaugh

Yep, I've been on crutches for eight weeks now... my only regret is not putting one of them up Aaron's ass in Phoenix ;)

I may have to take you up on that, I'm not sure this is such a good idea.

The Surgery Center just called and wanted to know why I wasn't there yet... seems they were planning on 11 am instead of 1pm... not a good sign.

MicroChick 06-02-2003 02:44 PM

Kimmy, the secret is to wear short skirts with those crutches. I never got so much attention in my life as I did the time I broke my leg last year...yes, right before D$'s scheduled pool party. Every man wants to bed a female with a cast...something about feeling like a man. HA!

Take care, sweety, you will be fine.:thumbsup

Hahaha, good idea mc :)))

Right now it feels like a swarm of bees stinging my foot if I don't stay on my meds, so I'm taking them now and going back to sleep --

LeeNoga 06-03-2003 07:34 AM

Get well KimmyKim, the worst is over! This time your recovery is leading to a solution :-) Take those meds, and behave yourself!

:-)
