Flash MX really rocks, use it
It has great tutorials to start learning this powerful tools, if you need some advice, ask, i will help |
MX definately
Although 5 can do advanced work with actionscripting Mx is now the standard. Don't waste your time learning to use 5 because when you switch to 6(MX) you'll have to relearn alot of actions. MX has a significantly different working screen setup and window actions. just my :2 cents: from my limited experience Bob |
If you are just looking to do some basic animation, look for a program called "Swish". It's something like 50.00 and it will create some good flash for you without having any knowlege of flash.
A great program for someone that does not know flash... Personally, I like Flash MX the best... Been working with Flash since version 3 and MX is by far the best. Good Luck :thumbsup |
thanks guys!

v5 and MX are much different, I recommend you to use MX. :thumbsup

as a company that respects its clients Macromedia made Flash MX with backward compatibility, so you can use deprecated functions without any problem. the main difference in MX for a developer is the interface layout and controls. Since Adobe tried sue Macromedia for using the tabs controls in Flash5 (which seems to be Adobe's patent) they changed it in MX with their own controls which are a bit annoying to use first... other than this Flash MX is the way to go... |
Macromedia!

If you're starting out just using Flash MX, trust me, it's a pain.
Trying to learn actionscripting is like poking yourself with needles. |
