QUESTION: Presidential Elections in 2004

I was having a talk tonight with some buddies of mine, so I am going to pose the question to you all:

If Bill Clinton could run for president again would you vote for him?

(BTW, I know the law prohibits it from happening)

detoxed 06-04-2003 11:08 PM

Captain 06-04-2003 11:08 PM

Are you saying Bush is to blame for this ??
What did Bush do to make it worse ??

What would have Clinton done to make it better than Bush hasnt ??

I know these tax cuts arent helping the economy either.

markell 06-04-2003 11:54 PM

i read somewhere that clinton is going to lobby to have that rule changed, he said he wouldnt run again if it was changed, but i think the people want him back, shit i know i do

slavdogg 06-05-2003 12:03 AM

Dawg, looking at that graph i see surplus starting to shrink when Clinton WAS in office. I also see 911 on that graph. And dont forget dotCom meltdown at the end of Clinton rule. 3 important economic factors you cant deny and that Bush had nothing to do with.

Deficit spending in slow economy is normal and expected.

Tell me this what % of todays US economy is deficit as compared to the other low point of 92 ?? You will find that it is a much much smaller % and has less of an effect or importance.

Pornwolf 06-05-2003 12:08 AM

The coming presidential election is a clown show. There are no really good candidates which virtually ensures Bush will have a second term. For the most part Bush is a flunky for Cheney and the other bigger old boys in the system that tell him what to do. Even still, I would personally spend a great deal of money in order to petition to have the constitution modified to allow Bill to come back.

If Bush left you would see the economy soar overnight. Not necassarily due to economic policy but the bullish attitude of the American people would be unstoppable.

We should be able to make this happen. It is our country no?

Maybe not.

The Dawg 06-05-2003 12:10 AM

I dont mean to switch subjects are you Slavik? (Buying up all the domains Slavik?)

Yunno, sometimes Republicans are like rabid Catholics, no matter how many little boys the priests molest they can still preach at mass, be called holy and the people are eating shitty tasting little wafers from their hands. Same with the politicians, as long as they represent the elephant their supporters will not admit they are fucking up the country and will continue to eat the shit they are fed.

I am neither Republican or Democrat but I pay attention to who is better suited for the job.

Bobby Fissure 06-05-2003 01:29 AM

It's funny to watch people argue over tweedledee and tweedledum. "My figurehead is better than YOUR figurehead!"

Validus 06-05-2003 02:08 AM

I would most certainly vote of Bill Clinton if I was American and he would have the ability to run again. I think, the whole scandal showed the world how human even a president can be.

Also.

I much rather read about sex then death.

Thanks.

What would be really funny is if Bush did leave office, and the economy did soar again, you would convince yourself that it was mere conincidence, and that, unlike Clinton (who has all good right wingers know caused the 'fake economy' of othe 90's), the President has absolutely no effect on the economy (except for Reagan).

lol
