Canadians who have incorporated in the EU

I am incorporating in the EU. I talked to a biller, they gave some good info. A couple of things didn't make sense, though.

They said they could not send checks to Canada, and earnings would have to be wired/deposited into a bank I would have to open in the EU. Is this true?

I was also told it would cost up to $3000(!!!) to incorporate in the EU. Anyone know of anyone who will do it cheaper? That is fucking nuts! :BangBang:

Thanks! :drinkup

Both of these look like arrant nonsense to me. Be careful about where you incorporate - we've been doing some research on exactly this. Gibraltar looks like the best trade-off between cost of incorporation (<$400) and requirements to file accounts (none) and general bureaucracy (low.) If you, for example, incorporate in the UK, it's cheaper BUT you have to file annual accounts, audited if you hit a turnover threshold.

And we (as a UK-based biller) don't have any problem sending money to Canada. We do it every week.

In EU there are no Visa fees, and no annual fees either. Keep me posted, though. Either way, I have to incorporate somewhere. Gibralter is looking to be best, so far.

Do you know of any companies that can assist someone setting up a Gibralter corporation? $3k seems a little steep, I could do it in the USA for cheaper.
