It's not a filter. That took some clever artistry. You can tell with the wheels.

I doubt it. That shit's vectorised, probaby in Freehand or something similar. Then imported back into PS and pasted in.

If i was going to do that, i'd use a tablet/pen. I'd trace the outline of the car on a new layer, and fill each layer with the desired colour. Go over it and add detail where needed. Simple.

Note: That's how i'd do it. I have no idea how the person actually did it.

god forbid someone can fucking trace the lines with a digipad thing and have some actual drawing skill without having to rely upon a fucking filter.

It IS possible for a human to draw. Look at some illustration stuff pre computer age.

My guess is that it wasn't completely done in Photoshop .. but it was also played with in Illustrator .. A friend of mine uses illustrater to animate/draw on her PC

It s just Photoshop but its several filters one after another and some of them are not original package filters.
Check the logo on www.hairydivas.com to see one of my dolls.

Yeah they are traced on a new layer & finished by hand no doubt.

I'm picking apart the PSDs right now.. It could have definitely been done in Photoshop... In fact, looking at the PSDs I can do it..

Everything is on a seperate layer...
I would guess it was done in this order: First they extracted the car from the background and pasted it back in place. Secondly they drew outlines of the car and details on a seperate layers.. Highlights, Shadows etc... etc..

I messed around with the colors a bit to show what I'm talking about...

Try Adobe Streamline then in Illustrator select the areas and fill with colour.:drinkup

haha, you guys think everything is done with filters now days..

its not, anime cars like this are all done by manual in photoshop, thats how i did mine..

Its a very long process of outlining, and cell shading (basically uses a method of selection and filling in the area you want with the color you want)

Its pretty easy once you get the hang of it, but takes awhile.
