imJason 06-13-2003 06:24 AM

I just posted on another thread to call visa and say you lost your card the second you leave likewhoa,

because they will keep billing you,

they are thieves,

simple as that,

as for now,

call visa and charge it back, they will make a call, likewhoa wont have shit to say, and youll get your money back in about 2 months, unless its really small amount you can probably get that back right away

imJason 06-13-2003 06:26 AM

PS when I left them months ago, I canceled my visa got another one,

and then I got a colection agency on my ass,

likewhoa even has the balls to keep you on the books, after you are gone, so its looks like they have large receivables,

and they sold there receivables to some sucked colection agency,

good luck collecting on this shit,

bad part I have to pay my lawyer to tell the colection agency to shove it,

File a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
Do everything you can to make thier lives a living hell.
Or you could just find them and kick the shit out of them!

bugout 06-13-2003 11:44 PM

Ultimate revenge.. everyone chargeback and have their merchant account shut down..

people remember that shit..............

RedShoe 06-14-2003 02:16 AM

they billed me for 6 months after I left them.

And no shit every time they would bill me for hosting they would also tack on a charge for going over my bandwidth limit. It always said, "ZERO (0) GB's over limit.............$87.00"

And then after 6 months of fighting they finally said, (loosly) "well we didn't know you left us. So, sorry but there is nothing we can do."

Pointless 06-14-2003 02:45 AM

i am soooooooooooooooo glad i stayed away from them

THE FAIR DEBT COLLECTION PRACTICES ACT

Sect. 805
(c) CEASING COMMUNICATION. If a consumer notifies a debt collector in writing that the consumer refuses to pay a debt or that the consumer wishes the debt collector to cease further communication with the consumer, the debt collector shall not communicate further with the consumer with respect to such debt, except --

(1) to advise the consumer that the debt collector's further efforts are being terminated;

(2) to notify the consumer that the debt collector or creditor may invoke specified remedies which are ordinarily invoked by such debt collector or creditor; or

(3) where applicable, to notify the consumer that the debt collector or creditor intends to invoke a specified remedy.

It's very doubtfull that anything further would come of it...
Collection agencies go for the easy bucks.. not courts
