jact 06-14-2003 12:05 AM

I had a friend who was composing theme music for clips for really inexpensive, ufortunately I can't remember his number right now.. I'll try to think of it and hit you up if I can.

Fletch XXX 06-14-2003 12:05 AM

no such thing.

everything retains a ?

you need audio loops for commercial purposes?

:winkwink:

Rico 06-14-2003 12:11 AM

Do a google search for "royalty free music".

It will take you a few hours, maybe longer, but eventually, you will find a few decent websites that have full leangth music available for download for X amount of money.

Should come with license (spelling), etc...

Do your homework, cause there are alot of scam sites out there as well as TONS of sites that just offer jingles and loops.

amacontent 06-14-2003 12:14 AM

Yeah, maybe some computer generated music perhaps. Im looking for something for flash part of my site and for trailers. Nothing rediculous

Bobby Fissure 06-14-2003 12:15 AM

Why not use classical music?

dirtyone 06-14-2003 12:16 AM

I don't think there is a copyright on Happy Birthday.

Rico 06-14-2003 12:18 AM

Any music over 75 years old is NOT copyrighted anymore. That of course covers the ORIGINAL work of art. NOT the remakes.

quiet 06-14-2003 12:19 AM

just have someone make music for you. that's what i do. lots of starving artists out there ;)

amacontent 06-14-2003 12:20 AM

Well id kinda like to be a little more modern. Some techno, new age, etc. But instrumental.

UnseenWorld 06-14-2003 12:23 AM

Fer chrissake, just go to Google and look for "royalty-free music" or else get your hands on Acid Music (cheap) and make your own music in a loop-based system. You can even import samples and sounds and create new loops!

Rico 06-14-2003 12:32 AM

Ok, I was in the mood and made you a song...

"With a little work
you'd be surprised...
how easy it flies...

CHORUS

KISS THE DEVIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
KISS HIM HARD ON THE LIPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Be cool,
Quit school.

CHORUS

KISS THE DEVIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
KISS HIM HARD ON THE LIPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Piss shit fuck.
My pick up truck.

Instructions:
Just add music.

Make a members contest: One of you members must be a musician or at least knows one closely. Give them free membership for life and be happy about the music.

Duh!

Gutterboy 06-14-2003 01:30 AM

You'd have a hard time using classical music. There aren't many recordings over 75 years old. And those that are, you probably wouldn't want to use.

I have a decent sounding recording of the Verdi Requiem from 1928. Unfortunately it had to be conducted at twice its normal speed so it'd fit on one record.. lol. Interesting to listen to tho.

Ketadream 06-14-2003 01:37 AM

When I first started producing music I went through a series of stages where I would take classical music and tear it appart re-construct it using synth's and samplers and attempt to get the classical feel to it.

I actualy would map out the placement of each instrument and move it forward or backwards in the stereo field (with delay or reverb).

I have a remix (and also have the rights to release) Adigo For Strings unfortunatly its 214 tracks and whenever I decide to tweak it it takes me a half a year to remember my settings...:):)

I REALLY should mix that down a bit...

Ketadream 06-14-2003 01:41 AM

@unseen...

I know there are people on this board that would take your statement for a full on approval that they could download a acapella of ray of light and mix it into there song and use it for resale or promotion of a resale without getting it cleared by whatever label madona is working with these days...

Just wanted to clarify..

Im about as nazi about music and good music production as most content providers are about there content...
