Sad but Funny Observation
 

A close friend of mine recently got Internet Access for the first time, he got a AOL Highspeed account.

He was over at my house and I told him he can check his AOL email thru AOL.com so he logged in.

There he had waiting about 6 Emails. 2 where Titled Email Confermation one was for the purchase of some detective software and one was for an adult site.

But the funny thing is he also had a few emails that where spam, one for some dating site where the spammer writes like a girl saying to check out her profile, I mean the guy got so serious he was like now he believes that thanks to the Internet alot of people found their soul mate.

Lots more happened and I learned alot watching how he surfed, I should of video taped it.

yeah it can be interesting watching n00bs surf, but for using aol you should have given him a slap.

i remember back 6/7 years ago when i was just discovering the land of internet porn. I signed up for an avs and a paysite... it wasnt until a year in the biz that i realized i was your typical joe surfer. one of my work mantra's is to "think like you were the customer".:thumbsup

It's really good every so often to look over a noob's shoulder and watch their surfing habits. We are mostly jaded at the net, ignoring flashing banners and closing popups before they load.
I watch my wife's cousin surfing and she's taken in by every little promo and every sparking tin can, like a fuckin magpie.

when my brother in law got on in front of me one day, i was amazed at how he would click on everything. couldnt tell a picture from a banner. after 10 minutes, there were 45 windows open and computer crashed

Yeah, it is hilarious how newbies surf the Internet, I'm surprised how many people type in a URL in Google.com or Yahoo.

I find the same shit with my dad, he always actually reads the spaem with print cartigest etc
