Yah, 5,000:1 in tgp traffic to a gallery is pretty good. I think the norm is 10:000:1

The 5 stages of becoming a sucessful adult webmaster. You could save yourself a lot of grief by starting at stage 3:

Phase 1:
Hey! I can get a free host, free content and free galleries. I'll build a site with tons of content. The kind I liked when I was a surfer. A massive surfer friendly TGP like my hero TheHun has. Lots of surfers will sign up from my site because I am so nice to them and I'll be rich.

Phase 2:
Well I have lots of traffic, but all they do is look at pictures. Think Im just busting my ass to make money for the people giving away the "free" stuff. Im going to get a real host and make a real TGP like my hero TheHun.

Phase 3:
Well I have a real host, 3 TGP's, 1000's of bookmarkers, but I still cant get many signups. The buggers hotlink me, gobble up bandwidth, but rarely ever click through to a sponsor. Think I'll try putting up more adds, and less content in front of them.

Phase 4:
Hey! The more adds I stick in their face, the more signups I get. Screw the fuckers! From now on if they want free content from me, their going to see some goddamn adds. Fuck the freeloading bastards.

Phase 5:
Im making good money now! If only we could get rid of newbies and their free crap, and sites like The Fucking Hun.

We spend a small fortune getting our hosted galleries made, but its worth it because they convert pretty well on tgp traffic.

I am amazed that some companies do inhouse bang up jobs. no wonder they don't convert. some of these guys haven't done tgp for years and don't know how to sell the current day tgp surfer.

If not, who is going to be the first to come out with such cool free hosted galleries with hotlinkable thumbs?!

I have a few dozen hosted galleries on Blood Money. You could check them out, especially to fill in some categories where galleries areharder to find.

I will say, though, that 1:5000, from clicks into the gallery, to sales, isn't that bad. TGP traffic isn't going to give you impressive conversions, unless you are counting sponsor clicks to sales. The galleries are filtering the traffic to the right sponsors... And, frankly, a lot of people only use galleries to get off, not to choose a place to sign up.

Would be nice if these were clickable.
