I'm thinking you are wrong. Nobody is worth 10 million a year. Sure Kariya is a great player, but he's not worth that money... Might as well enjoy next season as much as you can because I don't see an agreement coming anytime soon and its ashame...

There's tons this year... Jagr, Hatcher, Selanne, Fedorov, and several more I can't think of right now. Also Modano and Lindros could be traded. The problem is, almost every team is trying to reduce their budget, so some of these guys may not get offers.

That's why I think the Duckls will keep Kariya....not at 10 million though, but I think if no one else is offering him that (and I doubt it this year...), he'd stick with the Ducks for $5-6 million or so + bonuses.

It said it our local paper that Selanne wants to go back to the Ducks, that would be sweet.

Curtis Joseph is still under contract with the Wings. I dont know where you heard he was a free agent.


Adam Oates is way over the hill. Just like all the player the Leafs got last year right before the trade deadline.

I heard that during the Ducks playoffs run, that Selanne spoke to Kariya everyday and regretted he was not there now that they finally had a good team...

If Kariya/Selanne accept lower salaries I can see them both on the Ducks (since they already cut Oates)....but unless Giguere is locked in, I'd figure he expects a raise ;p

I believe Giguere is a restricted free agent, so the Ducks will be forking over lots of money to keep him.

Ya, then he'll pull a fucking Theodore and sieve out next season.
