spam is no good. I really hate when my bulk mail box on yahoo has like 30 messages in it.

chaffer 07-01-2003 03:45 PM

benthompson 07-01-2003 03:46 PM

30 messages in your bulk folder? That's nothing :1orglaugh

Wait til you get hundreds in your inbox!

I've never bought anything that was spammed to me, my wife almost did once, a company promised a free vacation to Hawaii if you applied for a loan through them.

Give my financial info to a spammer!? hahahaha

Porndealer 07-01-2003 03:48 PM

If you buy from a spam mail you are supporting spammers and just asking them to continue doing it...

gothweb 07-01-2003 04:21 PM

I haven't, and I never will. It's a principle thing. Once or twice, Vail or I have seen things that were kind of interesting, but we never buy it. Not spending money, and making spam useless, is the only way we will ever fully kill it.

XYCash 07-01-2003 04:27 PM

ya..actually...a porn membership :)

nuvolenji 07-01-2003 04:29 PM

jimmyf 07-01-2003 05:10 PM

I vote yes, but have yet to buy anything, getting ready to though, I have no ideal why I checked this one spam out. Going to buy some Meds from a Drug Store in Cdn. can get'm for like
$ 1.00 per pill, here cost over $ 3.00 per pill.

debbieN 07-01-2003 05:16 PM

I get very few, maybe 2 a day now. I alway write a message rule for the suffix part of the email address and have it deleted from my server so I never see it.

I,ve never read a whole spam, I've fried it though, spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, eggs n spam.

candyflip 07-01-2003 05:20 PM

I signed up for a casino, won $500. The check showed up.

Best spam ever.

I bought a real-estate thing a while ago, it was one of those "make 1000s from home with real estate" kinda deals. I've been in real estate for a few years and wanted to see what these infomercial/spam emailers were up to.. always good to keep up on the competition.. and it was $40 for two videos, 4 CDs and a couple books.

Well, for $40 you can't expect much.. but if you ask me anything under $100 is basically free. While 90% of what they sent was crap, there was some informative material about some marketing methods I hadn't explored yet, particularily ways to reach new customers. Also, one of the books had a directory of every state's real estate commission, with urls, addresses and phone numbers. There were also some other directory type listings, and while all that information is easily gotten on the internet, it is nice to have it all in alphabetical order and bound into one small booklet.

XxXotic 07-01-2003 06:49 PM

never have, never will

chodadog 07-01-2003 07:32 PM

Yes, but i make sure i don't go to the site via the affiliate's link. No way i'm gonna allow that guy to receive credit for my purchase.

netstarz 07-01-2003 07:53 PM

dumbest thing I ever did was start forwarding the damn things to the sponsors. They send me a form email saying the account is closed and my addy has been removed. In a month I find the same sponsors stuff being pushed by the same fucking referal code...........

Most sponsors seem to love spam. No matter what they come here to this board and say about it.

Why 07-01-2003 07:56 PM

oh shut the fuck you fucking liars, spam is good and you know it.

Why 07-01-2003 07:58 PM

obviously you shouldnt buy things offering FREE vacations and ways to lose weight or make millions.

if your stupid enough to buy into a scam like that then you deserve to be scammed, fuckin eh.

i got land on mars to sell you if your that retarded, $50 an acre.

Spunky 07-01-2003 07:59 PM

There is an argument for opt-in type mailing.. but when I get an email sent to [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], [email protected] ...and about 50 others, and the addresses aren't hidden, it is obviously spam in its purest form, and it should carry heavy penalty.

digifan 07-01-2003 08:43 PM

I hate spam :
:ak47:
