A car question, removing a seat

I have a 2000 sable , the drivers seat is power the front passengers seat isnt. For some reason the leg room is alot shorter on the passenger side. I looked all over for locals that do seat track extensions no one does it. The reason I am looking is we have a trip to WI in Sept and its a long drive 1000 miles want to do it in one day. So we will take turns driving every two hours, so it isnt torture. To make the passsenger side a good resting place. I was thinking of removing the passenger front seat for the trip . It looks easy like four bolts. Any car people on here is it harder than it looks to remove?

That's all it is. 4 bolts and a wiring harness if it has power seats.

Only the drivers side is power the passsenger side isnt, so it should be only four bolts sounds easy.

If the seatbelt's attached to the seat, you'll need a large Torx® bit socket to remove it. My guess is it's a T-50.

Be sure to plug up the holes after you take out the seat... if it rains during your trip, you'll get the carpet soaked

how the hell are your seats lopsided?

p.s. It's probably four studs welded to the floor, so don't go nuts trying to get them out. Just take off the nuts. :)

i dunno about Sable, but in my car seat has sensors for airbag and seatbelt. By removing the seat my AIRBAG light will go on.
So if you don't mind your airbag light on, then just 4 bolts and wiring harness. Then you are done.
