how do I cash a money order?
do I have to bring it to a bank and wait for it to clear or what?
|
A money order is just like cash. If you have ID, you should be able to go into just about any bank and cash it immediately.

you take it to your bank but you dont have to wait for it to clear, they should credit your account right away
if they dont, change your bank |

Depends on the money order and your bank. A postal money order is as good as gold, you can cash those either at the post office or at the bank. You shouldn't have to wait for that to clear. A regular money order is usually treated like a check but my bank will just cash them for me.

Take it to your bank and deposit it.

You can cash it at your bank. You don't need to wait for it to clear because the money is withdrawn from the person's account when the money order is made.

Send it to me and I will send you new money order less my 50% cashing fee.
|
Just for the record, bring it to your bank and deposit it.

If anyone needs large checks cashed, I have a friend that owns a check cashing store that can cash up to $100,000.00 at 3% for you.
Its good for situations like if you're going through a hostile divorce for example and need to protect your funds. :thumbsup |
Take is to the place that issued it and cash it.
