Why this obsession with shaving?

Sure, I understand that it is importnat with a trimmed bush, and also understand why "hairy" has been moved into the fetish department, although in the eighties it was considered just as natural as shaved is today.

But why do adult webmasters seem so obsessed with shaving? And why do you consider the impact of credit card policies on shaving - isn't that a bit far fetched?
