Per minute billing/psycho customers? Any experience
Hm.. I am somewhat new to the whole pay for play thing, so I'm kind of concerned..
This one guy has spent $900 since he joined about 5 days ago.. That seems like quite a bit for one customer.. Does anyone have any experience with per minute -- what do you do in situations like this? I was thinking that perhaps I should do a $500 spending limit, then they have to fax in a credit card authorization form with a copy of their CC, or something like this... How do you handle CBs when it comes to this kinda stuff? I guess show the bank the CC auth form with copy of ID and CC? Any help would be appreciated... |
well in the 900/800 number business the lines get cut off after 20 - 25 minutes to prevent chargebacks, some even dont allow the same number to call twice within 24 hours.
You will get hit hard if you dont control it, regardless how good your content is. |
Hookup to a credit check system and make sure the person has good enough credit to afford the $500 or $1000. If they cant afford it, dont let them do it.

Hm.. wondering what iFriends does... when I used to have cam girls with them, guys would run up thousands of dollars sometimes...
Does anyone know if a credit card authorization form, a copy of their driver's license, and a front/back side copy of the credit card used is enough for a typical acquiring bank to drop a charge back? |

and the latest 1900 reg's in Aust are capped $$ per *month* of $250, unless they apply in writing for the cap amount to be lifted. you may lose a few big spenders, but you will save yourself a world of pain... |
Ive seen steph take in $1000 a night from one guy on webcams and many guys that spend comparable amounts ..
never any chargebacks , its seems to be the cheap fuckers that cause the problems .. best part with cam shows is often the guys will show their face on two way cam and we capture it for later if needed . along with logs and whatnot . |

Well.. iFriends totally fucks people. I know for a fact guys came in all the time and ran up $1000 sessions constantly...
I guess they just have so much volume that it doesn't matter.. |
Most/All of the wise live cam companies after a certain dollar amount would either get a faxed signature on file or fedex out a contract for him to sign.

Camcontacts, IMlive and Ifriends require a lot more information if the viewer spends a lot of money.
IMlive and Camcontacts require the viewers to fax in documents if they want to spend more then $100 with a particular CC. I require copied of A gov't issued photo ID and the CC with a signature authorization. Here's a link to the form Camcontacts requires: Very similar to what imlive and ifriends require http://www.camcontacts.net/Privileged.asp |
hm.. are you sure iFriends requires docs?

I operate an audiotext company and we request a hand written statement authorizing charges as well as a copy of the credit card used (front and back) and valid photo ID once a customer has reached a certain point.
When we request it depends mostly on how many calls the guy is doing (since charge back ratios are calculated on transactions, not $), combined with how new of a customer he is and how many total dollars. My charge backs sit at less than .003 right now and those we request to send info in are blocked until such info is received. My dispatchers are given discretion to block and the office manager also blocks people every night based on numbers. We also offer free memberships and calls to customers who do fax in so many who aren't even in jeopardy do so...it just helps to protect. I've only had to fight one charge back with the info but it did get the charge back reversed! |
So if you have a cc authorization form/their ID/their signature/a copy of the CC on file... will a bank typically reverse the chargeback?
|
Your chances of a chargeback on that are extremely high.
|
In my experience, yes, the bank reversed a charge back when I presented them with a signature and copies of the card. I don't work for a bank so I don't know if that would happen all of the time, but common sense tells me that that's pretty iron clad proof that the charge was authorized.
If anything, if they processed it anyway, you could move directly to collections and forward if necessary. I wouldn't allow someone to do $900 worth of charges in 5 days though...most of the people we request to send in never do. |
Hi,
What we did, is make a "virtual" wallet and they could spend like 200 dollars. When they want to spend more, they had to fill in a acontract and FAX that with a signature.. Andre |
