It's my first one too. Glad I wasn't on a $1 table or something.

Sly_RJ 07-13-2003 09:09 PM

Beautiful hand.

Spunky 07-13-2003 09:11 PM

Yes. Haven't played much in the last few days but enough to withdraw something daily.

Yes but I play at party too. Just for tourneys though.

I'm doing the practice tables at Pacific Poker right now. Cleaning up.

Cool man, I'll join you on the nickels when you make a deposit. By the way the guy that was reraising me had a 10's over Jacks boat so it was a bad beat too.

Sly_RJ 07-13-2003 09:22 PM

I wish they took ePassporte, I would deposit right now. Don't feel like signing up for Neteller at the moment, later this week I definitely will. I'll feel much better about losing nickels and dimes instead of .50's and dollars, hehe.

stocktrader23 07-13-2003 10:16 PM

It's a shame, not nearly as pretty as a royal flush but worth twice as much.

Hey man, I was kicking ass in no time. Get a good feel for it and you might make some decent coin at it. It's a blast.

Yea there's quite a few people there with some decent change. That's the biggest table you can play on pacific for some reason.

Some are 21 and some only require you to be 18. Not sure about this one.

Serious jd 07-14-2003 01:36 AM

most people play every hand in free play is it a lot more conservative in the money game? i would assume people would be folding right off a lot more until they got a good hand.

You can find a table from time to time full of people that want to see the flop. Also in the lower limits some people will chase cards to the river regardless of what hits the table. I make my money from the "river rats".

this is a "doctored" picture because

1) "rais" has no money showing

2) yellow light of a winner is at your opponent, not you....

You'd think so, but it doesn't seem to work that way. I think most people are just bad at poker. The problem is, when you sit a table with seven other people and five of them are chasers, you get outdrawn a lot. In the long run, all the chasers will get fucked but they can really screw a game up for the people who know how to play.

I think he just raised and the orange highlight means it's the other guy's turn. The hand isn't over, notice how the other person's cards are still face down.

That's actually what I want to do but I need to practice my ass off on no limit. The though process and skill involved is nuts. Party poker actually has a big limit tournament coming up that you can get into by winning the satellite on their site. I may give it a go but your starting chips aren't that great for the rules they have in place.

Andy P 07-14-2003 02:21 AM

KRL, Dang! this must be one of the biggest sites, right ?

Ah, cool, i got a few popups on showdown survivor, and thats $25k in prizes just today.. lol.

I had no idea online casinos where dealing this kind of dough.

Serious jd 07-14-2003 02:40 AM

i was watching the poker world series on espn the other day, varkonyi was out in the first round. he had trained and tried to prepare for every possible situation too. that luck thing always gets ya.

Actually the 25k is in 10 days. Top 50 get $100 today and first place is like $2500 out of the ones that win today. So far I'm up there if I can stay awake. If I get in it for the big one I'm gonna stay in every hand on the lowest table they allow for that $2500.

Andy P 07-14-2003 03:03 AM

good luck :thumbsup

Varkonyi is also an amateur and, let's face it, winning last year was mostly a fluke. The luck thing helped him then and screwed him now. I saw his kings get raped and that was bad luck but it's like Brunson said, he never really had a chance.
