A quick test of intelligence. Don't cheat! Because if you do, the test will be no fun.

There are no Tricks to the test. Read this sentence:
FINISHED FILES ARE THE RE-
SULT OF YEARS OF SCIENTIF-
IC STUDY COMBINED WITH
THE EXPERIENCE OF YEARS.

Now count aloud the F's in that sentence. Important, count them ONLY ONCE: do not go back and count them again

nah i got it, ive actually seen that one before. good shit though, made me feel like an idiot before.:winkwink:

One of average intelligence finds three of them. If you spotted four, you're above average. If you got five, you can turn your nose at most anybody. If you caught six, you are a genius. There is no catch. Many people forget the "OF"'s. The human brain tends to see them as V's and not F's.

6? And I got the answer by placing emphasis on each F as I was reading and holding up a finger for each one.

Actually, there does seem to be a little trick to it, sort of. I bet a lot of people will forget as they read quickly that the "f" in the word "of" is an F because when reading aloud it sounds like a V. :)

Well, darnit, my typing was too slow that time. LOL

what i did is look for the actual shape of each letter, rather than the sound.

I do it backwards.
