Canon GL2 vs. Sony VX2000

Which do you like better?

And Why?

How does each one shoot in low-light?

twistyneck 07-26-2003 09:22 PM

The Sony works better in low light however, by simply turning on a lamp, the GL2 will do just fine. In fact, it will do better than just fine, it rocks.

They are both great cameras, each with strengths and weaknesses. I do mostly outdoor work and the lens on the Canon is better for that than the Sony. If I shot indoors with no need for a decent optical zoom, I'd use the Sony. Almost apples and oranges on this one.

I agree with twistyneck. Tried them both out. I use a lot of Sony products because of the easy DV link feature. I have two Vaio laptops and 1 desktop for converting directly to DVD or whatever format you want. I use Pinnacle 8.8 for this. Canons are great for outdoors like the man said but I personally prefer the Sony products for the ease of use, price and funtcionality. It all depends on what you want to do. You can't go wrong with either Sony or Canon...

I thought you returned ..

BTW that is a great camera, the prosumer model, jvc made two models one to be sold in stores and an other to be sold thru authorised JVC Industrial resellers. If your plan for this camera is to shoot for web, and be used in Auto stand clear of this camera, HD isn't for you.

Huh? Search?

My search results shows only 174 topics about the Canon vs. VX2K I'd hardly call that beating it to death. I thought anything over 175 was considered beating it to death.

"Are you religious" shows up 294 times. Now that's beating it to death.
