Easy way to share bookmarks (favorites) between PCs?
I have 3 PCs that I regulary use and it's kind of a pain in the ass to add the same bookmarks to all computers. I use Avant Browser (IE wrapper) so all my favorites are in IE format. I tried copying files and such but it's a royal pain. Anyone got a better solution?

You can export your favorites to a file and carry it back and forth, but you are right that fucking blows.
There are also a ton of free bookmark services online where you can store your favs in a central web resource and access them from anywhere.... thats probably the best solution. |
I just copy the entire favs folder .. works fine and takes just about 2.5 secs

Yeah I copy files as well thru network shares but the process is quite sucky. The process is kinda-sorta uni-directional since if you add a bookmark on a computer that you usually don't add bookmarks form good luck to you getting that one synched. I can't belive someone didn't think up a network centralized bookmark server or something.
So far all I found is: bookmark.yahoo.com syncit.com Neither of those are actually "transparent." Syncit is close since it puts an icon into the tray and works from there. |
A little update: SynchIt does work exactly like I wanted it. It does update IE bookmarks. Alas, Mozilla isn't supported.
