What's a sig worth?
 

With all the crazy bidding on sigs right now, what do you guys think a sig is actually worth?

I was a bit weirded out by the seemingly insane prices, but then I realized that my very first sponsor sig (changed it 6 months ago) is still making me quite a bit of money, and that the companies it contained have made a pretty large sum with it.

So, are these $1k+ sigs worth it or not?

You cant put a number on "What is a sig worth?"

There are way too many variables.

Mine isn't worth the space it takes up apparently.

It's worth whatever someone pays for it.

it would take a large sum of moola to get rid of mr jackson and white snoop from below me,

they are apart of me now.

Mine is worth at least $1000 a month to me and probably several thousands a month to the sponsor.

Then say what variables you are using.

For instance, my guess is that with about 15-20 posts a day and frequent changing of sponsors, a sig can make you $2k+ a month on average after about a year or so. Ofcourse, that's just a guestimate.

I wouldn't be so sure that there are any sigs actually selling for more than $1000 a month. This place is known for it's hoaxes.

Reputation / Quality

Experience / Respect

Post Quantity

Ability to Generate Lots of Views Per Post and Replies

Humor Skills

Exactly... But it mater who is "in" on the hoaxes or not... The lars thing might be a hoax, but it also might cause other sponsors to buy up sigs... Ya never know ;)

Well, I know what my first sig still makes me (the one before the one before I had your program in it), and that pretty much beats that and has made the two sponsors in question an awful lot of money, so I wouldn't be too sure about that.

I've been told that mine is worth one sucky and two fucky in Thailand.

Personally, I'm getting a bit annoyed by the sig stuff. Soon, this place will be swarming with non-porn newbies and kids who are just here to whore their sigs to make money. That would make this place useless for the real webmasters pretty quickly.

Maybe ref-code sigs should be banned?

My sig has made me plenty, too. I just don't think there are really people paying that high a flat fee in advance.

Well, I don't know about everyone else, but my sig has made both Phat Servers and myself a penny or two since it's been inserted. Lars is making a very sweet offer to some of the other board members, but his offer doesn't beat what my sig is making.
