Just giving folks a heads up

Hopefully i can get back that $5 bounce fee from them also

Wouldn't bet on it though

It just the princeapalities

tony286 07-29-2003 07:45 AM

I think there should be a regulation set in place, where if a company wants to be third party processor. They must have so much money in a escrow account to cover money owed to clients. Its like casinos, they have to have a certain amount of cash on hand to cover loses at all time or they lose their gaming license. These companies closing and basically running away with everyone's money is crazy.

I had a globill check bounce last year. I just ran across it last night. I am sure there are 5 checks in my PO BOX right now that are no good... that's just fucking pathetic not to cover your outstanding fucking checks.

Now I quote from one of my favorite movies....

ssm 07-29-2003 09:25 AM

What day was this supposedly announced? I was with Globill and got nothing from them whatsoever. I found out from not getting any signups and thinking WTF so I went digging. Then when I logged into my webmaster area all I got was some bull shit post about "regretting" what they've been forced to do because of Visa.

I had two checks and deposited them July 22. I'm just waiting for the bank to reject them. My fingers are crossed that they got through in time. Those two checks were the last two "bigger ones" before my "summer slump" began.

skitten 07-29-2003 01:09 PM

Too bad that the only thing they DIDN'T lie about were the checks bouncing! I hate those motherfuckers.

I deposited the last check received from them and I swear if it bounces, I am going to jump off of the HOLLYWOOD sign.

:waaaaahh

playa 07-29-2003 04:03 PM

You would think they would give some advance notice about depositing your checks.. like you must deposit your check in the next 30 days or something

Just can't trust anyone these days

I got the email from them Friday. Not how I found out though. I was making coffee but had not actually consumed it yet and I played my phone messages before checking my email because I was still half asleep . . . and I had sales calls from 3rd party processors offering me their services now that Globill was gone. Yikes! Didn't need the coffee after that but drank it anyway.

You're fucked. I had one that I cashed a few days before they went tits up bounce today. Thanks for the butt fucking, globill, you pricks.

cherrylula 07-29-2003 05:20 PM

Those globill fucks must be living it up right about now.

Fabien 07-29-2003 06:41 PM

They knew that they will get in the balls and they continued processing anyways.

What i did ? Continued to use them !

What happened ? Got fucked but took the risk !

Lesson learned ? GET MY OWN FUCKING MA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ssm 07-30-2003 12:59 AM

Nice! I got fuck all for a notice. Nada!!!

skitten 07-30-2003 10:51 PM

Will this nightmare ever end?!

I deposited the last Globill check I received (on 7/22) which was three days before they went down - leaving us with nothing but a page of bullshit warning us not to cash their checks. Today my bank returned their worthless check - and what is interesting - is that it was marked "stop payment" as opposed to insufficient funds.

I guess that's just another $800 than I can tack on to the $5000 that I am all ready owed by those maggots.

dougeetx 07-30-2003 10:55 PM

If Glo-Bill is down and out, why is their site still up and running????????? Hmmmm....

tootie 07-30-2003 10:56 PM

I feel terrible for everyone this happened to. I'd be so upset if this happened to me. :(

Gemini 07-30-2003 11:08 PM

Spend a few dollars and call the DA's office in their city... it's still a criminal offense to pass bad checks. Also if they are in the States, contact the state Attorney General's office. One of the two will hang someone up to dry. :Graucho

skitten 07-30-2003 11:10 PM

It's not really up and running. They are no longer accepting sign-ups (which they should have done much sooner!) and after signing into the webmasters area, it displays their pathetic notice stating that they are no longer processing and warns us not to cash their checks.

The more I think about it - it becomes more evident that Globill is run by shysters. On my members list, I see that several sign-ups were made less than one hour prior to the site closing down. They obviously knew way ahead of time (ie: they had adequate time to compose the notice - yet continued to accept payments!!)

I noticed that many recent paying members are missing from my current users list as well. Basically it shows no signups other than ones I added myself for the past 2 months, which is complete bullshit. Leave it to globill to fuck with the stats and users list to try and show no current income, rat fucking pricks.

Anyone wanna buy a site?

I am able to access my members list - but not my actual stats. Is that info available now? I know that I am owed over $5000 (which includes the $1800+ in reserve money).

When Lancelot went down - it was the same story - the amouunt of sign-ups for the current pay period suddenly changed - more than half disappeared overnight. (not that we saw a dime anyway)

PbG 07-31-2003 02:17 AM

They hold a reserve against webmasters/sites not being around to provide the services paid for . . . . shit we need a reserve for their disappearing and lying assess. I think VISA/MC is going to shut down all 3rd party processors. Including thse that required a $750.00 fee.

look out Mt. Hollywood here you cum lol

Dude it's not that serious . . . . all good things must come to an end. I did'nt even bother to go to the post office and pick up my last Blobill checks from the 18th. I cashed three on the 19th. They stopped processing on the 22nd. They announced closure on the 24th.

For all who are wondering the warning sign is UNVERIFIED SIGNUP.
When you see that its a 80/20 chance
you are screwed dude.

Their site is up to continue access to the scripts some webmasters need to allow access to their members area.

You can also add users manually. However the fact that they took down the payout and sales information is a good indication we will never see a dime of any moneies owed us.

PbG 07-31-2003 02:51 AM

This is why it is so important to turn on Instant Payment Notification (IPN) and keep those notices.

That is your proof that you are owed money. That is what you use to determine what moneies are still outstanding. Without IPN you are fucked when your 3rd Party processor closes and pulls the stats off their site.

Checks are bouncing "stop payments", "frozen accounts" because VISA has pressured Globill's bank to freeze the account. Visa will probably pay itself fines from that money, will keep the rest " frozen" to cover for actual chargebacks and fees.

I don't think that VISA politely called Globill to discuss this. They just went it like a mob and took over the account. It seems to be the same pattern with Dutcbilling, explaining their payment schedule.

I don't beleive we will see a cent out of this, but if we do remember it will be the Holiday season: give some of that new found money to the less fortunate of this world.... ( no, not me, idiot...lol) .

ALL "3rd party" will close down or be completely out of adult within the next year. ..

playa 07-31-2003 06:12 AM

I got another check that i can't even cash

There goes my internext trip

LOL Like a mob?

Globill and the others tried to fuck with VISA and exploit what they thought were loopholes.

Visa evidently didn't like that.

No mob. Just processors trying to be cute.

El Pres 07-31-2003 06:26 AM

Checking with someone I know.

The wires that were due to go out the week prior
never went through either.

So they had some idea this was going to happen and stopped paying out.

That alone doesn't tell the tale, as there are quite a few of those IPN notices that turn into card rejected, at least from my experience. Still fucked either way.

darksoft 07-31-2003 08:47 AM

Well, seems like all the goodies they left behind, such as find user and add user, userlist, etc are now doing the 404 error thing. Like the energizer bunny, they keep on fucking and fucking and fucking...

If ever there were a wolf in sheep's clothing -it is Glo-Bill. Those con-artists played us like a fucking fiddle - with constant posts on their webmsters board to reassure us of their stability.

I had several sign-ups which were accepted less than an hour prior to Glo-Bill closing up shop on the morning of 7/25. I had deposited a check from Glo-Bill on 7/22 - which was returned to me just a few days ago - and the reason given was "Stop Payment" as opposed to NSF.

They are holding our reserve money - which according to the information on their site - QUOTE:

"Glo-Bill only holds 5% of webmaster sales in rolling reserve (10% for webmasters earning over $5,000 bi-weekly).

Each pay period, the reserve amount from the pay period 6 months prior will be added to your paycheck. The rolling reserve protects Glo-Bill and customers should you suddenly close down your website, requiring us to refund it's members.

But rest assured that any reserve is YOUR money and will be returned to you according to the schedule as long as you abide by ethical business practices"

Any recent attempts to login to the webmasters area to access what little information they have made available - were unsuccessful - I received the following message:

Database Error! Quote Error ID: 66296-10600021460

They ran off with our money and do not have any plans on paying. When Lancelot pulled the exact same thing last September - this board was littered with posts from angry webmasters (myself included) but less than one year later - Lancelot's sins are all but forgotten. We haven't received a penny from them - yet Terry & Elizabeth Neves have been busy spending our cash. They own a home in Jupiter Beach FL - as well as several beach front condos - each one costing between $600,000-$800,000.

Third party billing companies are able to close-up shop - while owing us hundreds of thousands of dollars. We are left with unanswered questions, as they can't be reached by phone or email - It's a fucking license to steal.
