Is any one else experiencing packet loss on candid hosting servers?

Don?t get me wrong, I love these guy's. Just hate it when my shit goes down...

Why do you continue to use them? This is an ongoing problem. Do yourself a favor and get to the bottom of it or move along onto a new host. Downtime and issues like this are unaceptable.

I've sent them 3 cancellation emails since May 9th. Never a response. I'm about to chargeback that shit, I've already moved all my stuff off of their servers.

I have gone with Jupiter Hosting, 0 problems, I advise you the same.. just talk with them before deciding anything..:thumbsup

Addendum: I did intesive (I mean intesive) research before deciding and my only other option was webair, fyi.

oxeo.com looks good, it's sorted out AWI problems. I'm on candid at the moment tho

Creepy, anyone ever notice that when someone is asking about hosting there is someone with a candid sig in the thread within minutes. When there is a problem, they are nowhere to be found. Not bagging on anyone, just an observation.

actually, been with NationalNet for a while and never really noticed any down time... maybe here and there for 1 or 2 minutes but thats about it...

i think alot of other people have noticed too. they can be a little elusive when it comes to support.

This is just a theory and perhaps only a fiction...
Imagine someone hosted on candid decides to fuck someone other's site using variety of crappy network attacks. The admin of the attacked site sends several emails and no reply, so he decides to strike back. The fastest solution... fuck the routers and all clients start experiencing problerms... but the attacks on his site get minimized also because of the bad network performance the offending host has too.


Of course, this is just a theory... and has never happened

I would say WebAir as well. As far as ICQ spams, its probably spammers who join their reseller program. WebAir will ban those people instantly as soon as they find out who they are. The guys at WebAir are very stand-up and straight shooters.

1. That is what happens when you are on ONE backbone. A quality host has multiple redundency. Last I checked (and I could be wrong) they were only on one backbone.

2. We did charge back a hosting agreement we had once cuz we signed a "6 month contract". Now I did say that in English right? "6 months".

Yet Candid took it upon itself to continue to bill us then said we were supposed to cancel.

I did say the contract said "6 months" right?

Thats why you NEVER see anyone from ISPRIME on here spammin there shit. They are the ultimate in my opinion though. Were is CSM-101 at NOW. CANDID BLOWS

At some point you have to take responsibilty for continued downtime afterall you continue to stay with them.

I can only say good things about Oxeo I have only been there a couple of months and haven´t had any problems.

Fast email support usually within 15-30 minutes, nice people that know what they are doing I can´t imagine going anywhere else.

You'd think with all these Candid techsupport complaints, they'd hire more help down there for their clients.

Anyway, how long was candid downtime today?

I've had nothing but problems with Candid since I moved to them... I signed a 12m contract so I'm stuck with an empty server until Oct.

I've moved everything to RS. More stable, faster, cheaper.

I am so glad my shit is out of that datacenter now.

Ever since they bought datahosters and added that aleron shit their network has been shitty.
