For the people who do alot of business online - How important is being nice?
 

Hey guys, I got a serious question for you today

is it important for you to be nice to the other person in a potential business deal? or do you just get to the point?

for example, this guy contacts me wanting proxies right, and he asks for todays sample...

I give it to him! even if he runs off with the list, I guess its a risk Im taking for him to be a potential customer

what do you guys think? be nice and build the persons trust? or "take-it-or-leave-it" attitude?

as a rule i try to be an asshole to everyone who comes across my path.

If they can put up with my shit and still go through with a deal, then they deserve my business.

Just ask anyone who i have worked with. Theyw ill tell you what a pain in the ass i am, lol

It's more important to be fair, honest, and consistent. At least for me. Webmasters know that if I make a link to them it won't be taken down next week (unless they take down mine - trust, but verify).

To me "nice" means that if I catch someone cheating I'll send a polite letter asking them to please stop. fuck that. I catch a cheater they are banned without notice. They know what they're doing. Fuckers.
