Getting old....

in 6 days, I hit 30.

I still feel like i just turned 16.

If my wife or daughter doesn't tell me to "grow up" at least once a day, my day is incomplete.

All my similiarly aged friends, act like old people.

This makes me sad, but not for long.

That is all.

No way in hell my parents ever liked the same music as me .. LOL

Vivaldi 08-01-2003 12:54 AM

30 - you're young! :1orglaugh
It's not the age that makes you feel young, it's your soul :glugglug

Just turned 32 and most of my friends act like a bunch of geriatrics. Just stay young at heart, physical age means nothing...

:thumbsup

Mr Pheer 08-01-2003 01:57 AM

I'll be 33 in september and I dont feel old at all. Alot of people tell me that your 30s and 40s are the best years. So far its been true.

4Pics 08-01-2003 02:00 AM

Gemini 08-03-2003 12:02 AM

Kids always whining. Go get a popcycle out of the freezer and play outside. Sheesh. :1orglaugh

dougeetx 08-03-2003 12:08 AM

Dude, I'm 33 and still going to the clubs (when the wife lets, me....being pussy whipped by a white woman is bad....the fellas all laugh at me but fuck them) and getting my boogie on!

The Truth Hurts 08-03-2003 12:12 AM

I don't go to clubs.

In fact the only I've only been to 2 strip clubs, and one bar, in my life.

keyboard warrior 08-01-2004 12:17 AM

30 is nothing

Firehorse 08-01-2004 03:26 AM

My wife keeps me young and age is just a number!

RicardoB 08-01-2004 03:51 AM

Turning 32 next month.

And like you experience those of my age act like old farts :1orglaugh

kowntafit 08-01-2004 05:14 AM

Your hip will be going on you soon. :winkwink:

Goatse 08-01-2004 06:35 AM

You lose your angst as you get older, but you also tend to lose your drive. You understand much more about life, but at some point it becomes too late to make the changes you need to make in order to improve your condition.

The worst part is that you can't stare at high school chicks anymore without being perceived as a perv. :winkwink:

Tam 08-01-2004 06:45 AM

I turn 40 in 10 days........ THAT one has me a tiny bit freaked out but 30 never bothered me in the least..... LOL

My kids and I all like pretty much the same music as well...... ;)

The Truth Hurts 08-07-2005 12:49 AM

This thread is an oldie but a goodie.

I think a lot of it is perceptual. You think that you feel 18 but you actually don't and you don't behave like it. We all become more tame, more wise, and conditioned (ex. to follow the rules or certain conduct) throughout life without realizing it. You wouldn't do the same idiotic things today that you would when you were actually 18.

tristan_D 08-08-2005 12:24 AM

age aint nothing but a number

With the exception of playing online FPS games, like counterstrike.

Nothing equalizes language like playing counterstrike. I've seen 40+ guys reduced to saying "FUCK 4ll j00 f4gZZZ" with sufficient exposure.

May not actually make you younger, but sure does suck all the intelligence & maturity out of your skull. That's close enough right? :thumbsup

krazyone 08-08-2005 12:42 AM

Like the great Dennis Hoff from Vegas said " You're only as old as the girls you sleep with , So this week I am 26 and 21."

je_rome 08-08-2005 12:45 AM

i like the idea of adding a year to my age.. it makes me realize that time passes and i'm collecting more experiences.

davecummings 08-08-2005 07:46 AM

Hb

I'm gonna "grow up" someday, but I'm not in any hurry to do so. I recommend that you also adopt that outlook:-)))

[illnet]-Tracie 08-11-2005 01:41 PM

you still got a few good years left in ya :-P

AlienQ - BANNED FOR LIFE 08-11-2005 01:43 PM

I turn 35 on Saturday the 13th.

Same thing.

All my friends got old real quick.

davecummings 08-11-2005 02:02 PM

Besides the creaky joints, wrinkles, weight gain, etc, I now don't "Shoot a load" for money shots; rather, I "Dribble a few drops"--and, that's on a "good" day:-)!!!

Dave
