Glo-Bill Users on the sites
So what Do we do?
Should we delete the user accounts on the pay site and email them all saying to use ccbill now and request a charge back against glo-bill? |
Educating users about how damn-easy a chargeback is sounds really dangerous.
Here's an idea. Email your existing glo-bill members explaining that glo-bill went under, and give them a special offer. Have a sign-up page protected by your usual htaccess, and only linked from this email. Offer them two weeks for $1 to cover their current month (call it an "average") and then have it rebill at the same amount they would have rebilled otherwise. Also give them a handy link to cancel their existing glo-bill membership. |
Its a good idea.. But..
Globill does not have the cancel links.. Essentiall the customers are getting the access for free, because I receive nothing. but.. I could ask them to signup again and give me their transaction number and then offer an extra free month. |
I used globill ( now Ibill is back). Do as gothweb said. Email all your members, give them the first 2 months for the price of one.
This offer in a special join page with 60 days join, then rebill every 30 days. Offers ends by August 15th. Those that do not take the offer will expire by themselves. Globill is still removing the expired users. Don't piss off your clients: it is not their fault either... I am doing similar to above, plus the opportunity to buy a vid or dvd for a s&h charge only... Forget Globill, forget your money, turn the page ... PS: if you got a basket like I did, say to yourself that this bag of peanuts is worth $ 489.98 |
