Is united colo a scam? (serious question)
These prices are insane. Sorry if this seems like a plug but $99/mo for 1000GB transfer on non-congent bw? And the server is included, no setup fee?
Is their tech support just really terrible or something? Any comments appreciated. |
they are not a scam, however it is UNmanaged, and their uptime is not perfect, do a search
|
Hi,
No scam, but they have had problems in the past I think. search the forums and read at: http://www.webhostingtalk.com thanks Todd |
What big sites are using them?
|
im using nocster now, (from burst) also 1000 gigs for $100 and its managed and service is actually pretty good.
Contact me if u want to know more about them, not trying to refer you just the host that I use and they worked for me .... you know my icq # |
I have a gallery box on United Colo.. decent machines for the price, bandwidth is okay for non business critical applications.. Give them a go man, it doesnt hurt.. and they're not crooks.
btw.. tech support has gotten MUCH better in the past couple months, they answer the phone now!!! :thumbsup |

And the unrestricted.net network costs more and offers less.

The UNRESTRICTED.NET service has just been re-launched: http://www.unrestricted.net And as far as uptime, that was remedied some time ago: http://www.hyperspin.com/publicreport/57207/7765 That was primarily due to some carrier outages we had way back then, which has been remedied early last year with some network upgrades and improved redundancy... |
