how smart are you?
try to figure this out ;)
A hard working man usually arrives to the train station of his home town each day at 5 AM His wife picks him up, and drives him the rest of the way home. (He is a hard worker, so when he comes home, she takes care of him) One day the man gets of from work a little earlier, and arrives at the train station at 4 AM. But instead of calling the wife, and have her pick him up sooner, he decides to walk till they meat somewhere on the road. After he has walked for some time, he meats the wife, and she picks him up and takes him home. They arrive at home 10 min sooner than they do when he arrives at the train station at 5 AM. If she left the house same time as she always do. And drove with the same speed as she always do. For how long a time did the man walk, before he meat his wife ?? :Graucho |

55m , what do I get?
|
1 hour 10 minutes
|
Hmm,
normally 5 am and then to home now 4 am and he is home 10 minutes sooner. So she skips 5 minutes twice...so he walked 5 minutes? (assuming she drives as fast as he walks) Hmm damn I'n not good in this:) Andre |
he walked atleast an hour people, cause from 4 to 5am he was walking.
|
I am going to say 55 minutes,
however since we do not know the time it takes from the train station to home there is no way of knowing for sure. This answer is based on the shortest time of 15 minutes from the train station to the house since they arrived 10 minutes before they normally do we must assume that the trip is at least 15 minutes because if the trip was only 10 minutes he would have met her at home. In any rate he has been working for a long time and now is probably to tired to screw his wife. |

I want my fucking prize. Stop giving wrong answers.
|
Tuga's right. 55 mins. If they arrive home 10 mins earlier, that means the trip was shortened 5 mins each way. If she normally picks him up at 5:00, then she would have picked him up at 4:55 this day. If he started walking at 4:00, then that's 55 mins.

He walked for 55 minutes. She met him at 4:55 AM, saving 5 minutes by meeting him at 4:55 AM instead of 5 AM and another 5 minutes by not having to drive the distance he had walked from the train station.
