AOL outgoing AOL?

I'm trying to set up outgoing SMTP on Outlook for someone (Jordan Capri) to send out email using an AOL connection? Is this possible?

You have to point your STMP to another ISP while connected to AOL.

I asked AOL about this a few years ago, they said no.

Yep...they don't allow it. You can pretty easily setup a mail server you have to allow just her to use it.

Also, I think they make "proxy" type programs that run on your local system to provide fake POP and SMTP to use AOL mail through Outlook or any other regular mail client.

za.mx.aol.com

zb.mx.aol.com

zc.mx.aol.com

Yeah, it's very easy.

Just set the outgoing mail server to one from another ISP, set incoming to AOL, and make sure and change the reply to to the AOL address.

Yeah, I called AOL and they told me "you can't send email using AOL unless it's an AOL account. Bullshit - I've set up Netscape to send email and it needed the SMTP info.

za.mx.aol.com seems to have worked. Thanks.
