Best gaming mouse for HARDCORE gamers

What's the best gaming mouse for Hardcore gamers?

If you play counterstrike on public servers and have no idea what is CPL or who is Thresh or Zero4 you are not a hardcore gamer IMHO.

I need opinions from older/hardcore quake1/qw/q3 gamers or people who know what current players use mouse wise.

thanks

Any gamer should know to use an optical mouse. The brand really shouldn't matter, I use a Logitech right now. But even with the best optical mouse won't help you become a better gamers. It all depends on your skills and not how great your mouse is suppose to be. Just my :2 cents:

Still, back in 96 to 2000, I was playing 8 hours per day and a mice can make a huge difference at the end of the game.

At a certain level, the details are important. I stopped playing since 2 years so I don't know what mices people are using now.

If you go to a tournament with $300,000 US in prize, trust me that you want the best mouse on the market, with the latest drivers.

The IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0 is by far the best mouse you can get for gaming or anything. In PC Gamer, every month they have a rundown of what parts would go in a "dream system", for as long as I can remember the IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0 has been on top. That's what I use and I love it :)

Same. I would highly recommend it, being a serious CS fan myself. Very smooth and precise.
