WTF? How can you SPAM yourself!?!?!?!?!?
I just got spammed from myself. It was to my e-mail address to the same e-mail address....
I don't do any spamming, BTW... Does this mean someone is spamming with my e-mail account?? |
You can spam from ANY return address, even set to and from the same.. it doesnt mean shit
|
SPAMMER!!!!!
|
got an email server? Got a server you've got formmail or something else installed on that can send mass mail?
Got "relaying" turned on for the mail server you're using? And of these things means that someone could get into your box, and send out emails from your machine. Common practice amongst some spammers. Means that you get the blame and they walk away looking for another server to hijack should anything happen. |
Older versions of sendmail allow you to enter whatever values you'd like for the originating address.

Guys you are both wrong. All of the normal spam programs in use today allow you to put whatever you want in the TO and FROM field. Many spammers set them to be the same so the spammee has no one to complain to.

Well......that sucks.

If it's true spam... and en masse... then chances are it's from a h4x0r3d server. |
