US banks
 

I'm looking for a US based bank that will open bank accounts for overseas people like me. I'm from australia and need a US bank account. I don't know if I need to open a address in USA and if that would make it any easier to open one. I don't ahve the SSN number and I don't wanna travel all the way to USA jsut to open a simple bank account so If you know any place that can help me please let me know I will be very grateful.

I think Wells Fargo will.

Try Chase http://www.chase.com/ they do open account for alien non residents...

Or try using some company that helps to open an account for you, if you can't figure out it all. Like www.valisinternational.com
