So a bengal it shall be! Hopefully we'll have one by Friday!

Servals are lousy for the house anyway.

But if you like big spotted cats check out Savannahs...

I have a Golden Jungle Cat in my house, also a lousy choice but I'm stuck with him now.

I have a friend that has 2 females. Very good cats. They don't shed, are incredibly smart, and generally just fun to have around.

Yeah. I never was a cat person, but I'm thinking of getting a bengal before too long. Cool cats.

Kanoealoha 08-07-2003 10:16 PM

Its a pain in the ass to find the perfect one!

gee, and then the breeders don't really want to give them up unless you want to show them...

And there just isn't many breeders in Northern California that have available kittens!

skitten 08-08-2003 07:07 AM

Awwww...they are all sooooo cute. I LOVE CATS!

Does anyone know if there are any really large cats which are meant to be kept as pets? I am not talking about tigers or other wild cats - just maybe about 50-60lbs? One of my cats is part ragdoll - which is one of the largest sized of all breeds. He is 23 lbs.

=^..^=

We have had Bengals for years. They are great cats. Our current survivor has beaten off coyotes, Akitas and a chow and currently rules in our house. They are take charge animals. They consider you their personal maid and cook.

Hit me up on ICQ anytime, I can make some recommendations and point you in the right direction. What is good for you depends on your experience, your accomodations and patience. I have been involved in non-domestic cats for a pretty long time now and have experience with just about all of them.

Good! Can you answer the bengals swimming thing for me?

Is it a natural thing?

as for the personal maid and cook, well the BF thinks I'm that already so I'm use to it! :glugglug

We have never had a cat Bengal or not that enjoyed water. They will all swim to survive but I don't think it is a preferred mode of transport.

Interesing, I keep seeing pics of bengals swimming in bathtubs, playing with tennis balls and whatnot...

mmm what brand of food did you feed it?
or was it a lucky london broil kitty?

Bengals are nice, but

T H I S

is what I want ! :)

J.R. 08-08-2003 04:05 PM

I had one, some fucker stole the kitten after
a few months of having it.

Fucking Illegals..

daddynastee 08-08-2003 04:16 PM

We got one three years ago, as a kitten (the best way to go, as they tend to be little bit more highstrung than other breeds of cats). They are amazing! Really gorgeous markings. They don't purrrrr, and it's true that many of then like water (my friend in NY has one, and he can't leave water in the sink as his Bengal will jump in and "lounge" there).

I think you're gonna be really happy with your new kitten. Have fun.

:thumbsup

Thank you (and Kanoealoha) for the info. After checking out the exotic cat site - I am even more amazed by the size of my cat (part Ragdoll) he is 22 lbs! (a little chunky, but also very "tall")
