Photoshop Gurus please help
 

The designs that are going on trendy shirts, have a faded, cracked look to them. I have tried doing a distress look on Photoshop, but it doesn't look good because it looks too uniform. If you have any idea how to do it with a filter, or a special paintbrush (that doesn't take hours), or any other method, please let me know.

Do a google search for 'Photoshop brushes' - there are tons of grunge brush sets out there that will do that kind of style.
