Hopefully you will get the same thing I do - a clean 404 page (no pops), but check the source and you will see a 0x0 hahahahahaha, and a 1x1 hahahahahaha. Both hahahahahaha src's are 404, so that triggers off the 404 script and redirects to a paying customer.

In other words, the customer buying 404 traffic is getting their page loaded, but the surfer never sees it since it's a hidden hahahahahaha.

If you watch the status bar while the page is loading, you can probably see that it's loading the URL of a paying customer as well. That's the hidden hahahahahaha(s).

Seems like a pretty blatant case of cheating to me. What do you guys think?

I got that URL from a friend on ICQ who wanted me to have a look at it. He's not buying directly from xratedhits (good work there strobi), but I believe his broker is.

I won't say who the broker is yet, but he's on this board.

OK - I bought the hits and found the page in my logs. I thought the traffic had been stopped which is why I was surprised (to say the least) when it appeared in the status bar.

It was bought from a broker who I'm not prepared to name at the moment because I would like to think that he has no idea his source of traffic is doing this.

FWIW - my take is this. I bought the traffic in good faith from a broker. To the best of my knowledge he also bought it in good faith from his source. It's clear that his source has ripped us both of. So the broker can say to me 'yep, we were both ripped, here's your money back'.

Now if that's the case, if I posted his name here, all I would be doing would be causing a lot of shit for someone who was an innocent party in this.

On the other hand, if anything happens that makes me think the actual broker has ripped me off, then I will be more than willing to name him here.

For the time being, I'm working on the basis of innocent until proven guilty

That's where some of the i-f-r-a-m-e'd 404s were being redirected to, when I loaded the URL (from the very first post) repeatedly. Looks like xratedhits has some very shady methods of generating his (your) traffic.....
