Ibill Spamming Our Members????
 

Hi Guys. Over the past few months we've had an increase in members complaining that the second they joined our site they started receiving shitloads of spam. A few of them claim they only used the email to join our site and truly believe we are responsible for the spam. We never spam, never sell the email addys. Which leads me to believe it may be our processor. So far the complaints have all been from members that joined via the same processor :(

Are any of you getting the same thing? I haven't seen any posts on this.

Processor email lists getting spammed by spammers not the processors. That's my guess.

We seed our processor lists. Ibill email lists are everywhere...... Draw your own conculsions with those clowns.

Spammers love those processor lists so it seems.

Brad, that's what I thought. Have you noticed the same with any other processors?

Anybody know how these email lists are leaking out of ibill and others and getting into the hands of spammers?

What's our best defense in this situation?

I didn't want to mention ibill because I don't think it's limited to them.

one corrupt employee of any processor is all it takes.

It is more than Ibill....... Ibill has just been doing it the longest.

Hehe did you think that the processors were really in credit card processing for the fees? Nah man, the real money is in the mailing. Ask any serious spammer on this board they will kill for those lists.
