Mutt - Al Goldstein had a cable access show in NY, owned bookstores and being an old school porner has pieces of a lot of porn companies....Yuo don't get that rich just off publishing magazines- however SCREW in it's heyday had a circulation much bigger than a RAZOR magazine or STUFF. |

Correct! Any SoFloridian would have known that, seeing it plasterd all over the news for weeks when he first put it up top snub his snooty neighbors. *Quick Snippette* PUBLISHER HAS GESTURE FOR HIS NEIGHBORS Thursday April 23 5:36 PM EDT POMPANO BEACH, Fla. (Reuters) - Al Goldstein, owner of the New York cable access channel "Midnight Blue" and publisher of the adult magazine "Screw," has erected a statue in his yard that has given some of his neighbors pause. Workers this week unloaded a large white statue of a human hand with its third finger extended and placed it in the yard of "La Casa de Al," his waterfront home in this Fort Lauderdale suburb. The statue was used as a prop in an episode of the ABC television situation comedy "Spin City" that had not yet been aired. Some neighbors groused about the statue. "I don't think anybody's going to be too appreciative," one sniffed. But tourists liked it. "I love it. I wish I could box it up and send it to the IRS," said Mark Jamison, visiting from New York, adding that he had a high tax bill this year. A Goldstein spokesman said Thursday he planned to move the statue to his back yard, where it would be seen by boaters on Florida's Intracoastal Waterway, and to paint it the color of human skin. |
Wish I had one of those :winkwink: (houses that is ;) )
|
I haven't seen a Screw in quite a while. I wish it was more common to find on the west coast. Damn funny magazine although some of my favorite writers are not there any more. They were really supportive of Blue Blood back in the day too.
Hmm, we need like a valentine smiley. |
