i've no clue about trademarks what if i call my own stuff "insertcoolname productions" without TM stuff.

can someone tm the name then and get me into trouble?

name is free right now but too expensive to get worldwide TM

yes they can sue you and get up to 60 million dollars from you

TM law is a can of worms.

A trade mark is protected as long as u can prove that YOU used the mark before anyone else.. in a specific area of business.

If u have used: im a shitter since 1988 and never cared for the domain and then someone goes registers imashitter.com and registers the TM, if u can prove that u used it first. YOu have rights to the mark.

It is all about first use.
