If it's not even here yet, then how is it not new?

Corleone 08-14-2003 07:30 AM

looks cool

liquidmoe 08-14-2003 07:36 AM

Audi is really putting their shit together quite nicely lately. The new A8 is friggin amazing and certainly dominates in looks over the BMW 7, and now a cheap lambo which doesnt sacrifice on performance, lol. When can we see quatro on a lambo? :)

gezzed 08-14-2003 07:55 AM

I'm impressed. Looks like a very nice car to me.

Platinum Josh 08-14-2003 07:57 AM

I think I'll pick one up sometime next week
just for a winter beater

lol

SkyWalker 08-14-2003 07:59 AM

The car isn't available until October. Wouldn't that make the car new. I think your getting this car mixed up with the Murciélago or Diablo.

Bulldog-Johnnie 08-14-2003 09:15 AM

Actually there are a few Gallardos out there, there's one for sure in Tampa, just saw it last night....

I'm sure you are mistaken. The car didn't even debut until the March 2003 Geneva Auto Show, it is just now in production, and the U.S. sales date isn't even until October , 2003.

I assure that I am not... There's no mistaking that car for anything... It looks nothing like the Murcielago or anything else for that matter up close... But it is sweet to be sure, just read the R&T or C&D report on it... A little more user friendlyas I read...

Where did you see it at? It would not be a North American version of the car if you actually saw it. What side was the drivers seat on?

brizzad 08-14-2003 10:52 AM

there's a few mercialago replicas built on a feiro chassis driving around down here... they're bad ass

plexer 08-14-2003 10:53 AM

well, thing is - i had a chance to sit and look around that car back in march 2002. so, that's how "new" that car really is :)

ok, we are croatia, we're behind the rest of the world, right? :) hehe, just kidding, nhf.

Sorry for the late reply, I was trying to find pictures from a show I was at in December of 2k2 where we were allowed to sit in it, touch it. They even started the engine up. I assure you it was fully functional, and though a floor model, it still existed.

Also you have to realize that just because a car is new in the US, doesn't mean it is NEW. Generally european cars are unveiled in Europe. But that isn't even applicable, because in December of 2002, I sat in a Lamborghini Gallardo, in Boston, Mass.

Also realize that money can expedite the production and delivery of any short run production vehicle -- I assure you that there is more than one Gallardo being driven in the US right now.

I'm pretty sure Italian cars are left hand drivers like German and American cars. So whether or not it was a North American version would'nt be instantly noticiable. But to answer your question it was a left hand driver with the automatic transimission. They guy who was driving was pretty cool and talked to me about it...

What you think about the new "Enzo" Ferrari?

Brad Mitchell 08-14-2003 12:07 PM

It's bad that I'm looking at that thinking... $160,000, that's not a bad price!
