The new M5
 

Saw the prototype close up today. Speedmeter up to 330kmh, some phat 20s on the back, 19s on the front. Predicted 530 horses under the hood.

The redefinition of sports sedan. Tomorrow I hopefully get to drive in it on the test track.

I prefer the current 5-series look over the new one... the rear lights suck. Although I wouldn't mind a M5. :)

of course 4 mad exhaust pipes in the back, 6 gear automatic gearbox.

I also saw the new 6 series parked as well. Neat looking.

new m5 is even more of supercar tha the current one!

I wish they would do a cabriolet version for the M5, like they did with the M3.

The front end kinda resembles the S2000, maybe. But general glance at it Volvo, Audi or VW popped in my mind over a Honda. :(

All car models seem to be going this way. I guess it's the future of motoring...

its not the final design its still photoshop for example look at the mirrors, the m5 will have them rounted like the old one

I don't know why you guys love BMW so much... where I come from, they're driven mainly by arabs/muslims and 30-something homos... seriously, they're everywhere, especially that disgusting blue color. Nice cars (in BLACK of course), but they have a very bad image here.

i understand you can choose from a 6-speed manual or the SMG 6-speed auto. i'd actually take the SMG...i hear the SMG models are coming out 3-6 months after the launch...


those look more like the specs for the current model. projected #s i've seen are 3.8 for the 0-60....


it will be a 2005 model. no exact ship date yet. MSRP is $80K ish. checked recently with 2 LA dealers and no one was taking deposits yet...though i've heard that San Diego BMW is.

thinking about putting a deposit down on one myself.

if i were to buy a bmw, it wouldnt be any 3-series.. i rather have a mustang.. i would save money and get a z-8 though..

A standard Carrera would own the new M5 on any racetrack :2 cents:
