Friends Vs Money
 

Its the hardest and the most fucked up things, when u sell something to ur friends. I will never again sell anything to my friends. The most ridiculous thing is that, u try to make as much money as you can, but at the same time, its ur friend that ur selling the "thing" to. DO u know what i am talking about :( ................... !! NEVER AGAIN. ...

I just wanted to share this with ppl on this board. Most of u had this experience, at one point or another, or maybe not yet, but in some point in ur life u will.....

Business is business, and my friends understand that.

My Dad told me never to do business with friends or family when I was younger. Didn't listen and lent a good friend a couple grand to get out of a tough spot. The money's gone and so is the friendship.

Can easily see how selling stuff to friends would suck. Sound advice.

I agree. You should discuss every detail on how your gonna do business with your friend, and you shouldn't have any problems.
If you friend expects for you to lower your price to the point where you lose money there is only one saying = friends come and go, but you always need to eat.

I have no friends, they are all dead after they tried the thing I sold them....

Yeah, same thing happened to me.

I do not do loans without collateral. They know this.

Yah, I have that problem too, I'm owed a couple G's spread out over a few friends.

I hate selling stuff to my friends though, I usually sell my old computer components to them, it's tough giving them a price... because you want the $ but you don't want to rip them off.

I usually go just a bit lower then what they can get it for on eBay... works well so far.

I still haven't found a good price for doing websites and marketing for friends though... it's a lot tougher when you are providing a service and not a tangible item.

when you mix money with friendship, you often end up losing both...
