So, you just busted your ass in Photoshop for the past 12 hours trying to be the next Wyldesites and you have nothing to show for it. :1orglaugh

Well - if webmastering is what you want to do and you don't want to break your neck trying to learn Photoshop, and don't want or can't afford to outsource work for $100 per page of more - remember: simple is the KEY.

At least, for me. And I don't mean "shitty graphics" style of simplicity. I mean, no graphics. It's like a good acapella, you don't need the fancy shit. It can be difficult, but there are a million and one ways to create a simple yet solid page with a high CTR. For webmasters like myself that want to lower expenses, but optimize time at the same time, simplicity is the key. Find one, add traffic, and you'll make excellent cash from it. However, just because it's simple, doesn't mean it's easy. "Five pics, text link, ten pics, text link" might make cash, but you can do better than that.

Example? The old BOB/dogfart galleries had IT.

There are lots of excellent designers now and and although a good piece of art can sometimes be essential - graphics are generally of secondary importance. Play with Photoshop occasionally and learn how it works - BUT - if you're not Michelangelo or VanGogh, yet find that the first thing you do is fire up Photoshop when you have an idea for a new site, then you're a fucking moron. If you make $300/week submitting galleries and think you're going to make yourself a millionaire by doing this exact same thing every day for the next 5 years, then you're a fucking moron. If you spend more time on boards than you do working, and you're not being paid $1 or more per post, you're a fucking moron. If you reply to this thread without taking the time to read and comprehend what has been said, then CONGRATULATIONS - you're a fucking moron. :1orglaugh

Simplicity is the ultimate solution for ANY tight ass webmaster.

Now - instead of deleting the adult spam in your inbox and ignoring newsgroup spam - read it, learn from it, take ideas from it, develop it, you can pick up some real sweet sales lines and text links from that shit. Just remember though - and I can't emphasize this enough - DO NOT COPY A 500 WORD SPAM WORD-FOR-WORD.

3. You promote Swoit in any capacity other than the paysite income program
4. You ever joined one of those "adult webmaster schools"

because you know nothing. Just read, take on board what has been said, and act on it.

there is LOTS more to it than a brief GFY style lecture, and any newb dumbass that won't take their own original spin on what has been said, is the same breed of newb dumbass that will go back to busting ass in Photoshop when they deduce that their pages aren't pretty enough, or will be sued out of business when they try to open sonytgp.com :1orglaugh

That's exactly it. 99% of newbies will do one of two things:

Say to themselves 'now that's good advice I must do that', then totally ignore it and do something else, bitching 2 months later that they make no money.

Or...totally ignore it to start with and tell you that you are talking out of your ass.

But then niether is a bad thing :)

What I don't understand is why everybody on GFY is so much into helping out their competition. Competition is good for the consumer but never good for the business. A newbie and his dog can start a whole online adult business in any niche he or she chooses by merely searching this board for answers. Seriously, what is there to gain? In the end, I guess people don't know any better.

Some better advice might be to leave TGP alone and learn to make free/AVS/S.E. sites. You have alot better chance of getting listed for free and the traffic is WAY better.

Heh actually I did - should've just left them alone and let them live, learn, and watch the money burn... but that would've been against the point of them being there. ;)

Don't worry guys. Most - and I do mean most - of the people in the schools do exactly what Tipsy said. Either ignore you from the beginning (convinced they know better), or say "hey that's a great idea" and then never do it.
And that guy who was doing 80-pic galleries is probably back to making them.

LOL.. yeah right. unless they have a pile of money and a lot of time to read and learn... informationally it's never been easier to enter the industry. PRACTICALLY and FINANCIALLY however it's a different story. The days of 17 year olds starting off with nothing but an internet connection and free time is over. I don't doubt it can still be done, but we're entering a period of consolidation litigation and regulation. The kids will always make beer money.. the serious money is getting further and further out of reach.
