US ends funds for African Aids programme

That one is for you, Eroswebmaster :321GFY LOL

The US government has cut off funds to an Aids programme for refugees in Africa - six weeks after President George Bush toured the continent promising to fight the disease - because it objects to the activities of one of the aid agencies involved, Marie Stopes International.
A state department official said yesterday that US law prohibited the funding of organisations that support China's repressive population policy - a definition sufficiently elastic to include Marie Stopes, which runs family planning programmes there.

However, organisations that work on reproductive health and Aids argue that the decision betrays the Bush administration's wider hostility to abortion. Its commitment to a rightwing Christian agenda has led it to promote abstinence as a strategy against HIV-Aids in preference to condoms, they say.

While I find it horrific and awful that any humans should have to live with AIDS, ecspecially to the epidemic levels in Africa, I don't feel that my tax dollars are best served helping them out.

I don't even have health insurance and yet I'm footing the bill for someone elses AIDS meds....

We help others, its no good, we switch and help ourselves we are selfish. Damned if you danmed if you dont. Shit I liked my time in the service, no politics just point and shoot. I miss the simpler times in my life.

We should mind our own business from now on. All aid should be cut off unless it's in form of business transactions.

Exactky the point. If you do not want to do something, then don't promise that you will do it.

Simple.Naturally, when you piut in perspective that the promises were done:

- State of the Union address ( to make look peacefull and caring a war hungry president)
- Liberia crisis ( again for the same reason and to ease the pressure on deploying peace keeping troops in that country).

80% of the cases of the world are in Africa.

Do a little research on when the "official" AIDS "outbreak" started... it was ~1981.

Apparently in 1978 there was a expiermental Hepatitis B Vaccine in Manhattan given specifically to promiscuous gay men. I read somewhere that the ads for the trials specifically requested promiscous gay men... is there proof somewhere?

In 1978 We, the US, started a smallpox vaccine program in Africa.

Like any conspiracy theory, there are tons of sites out there that talk about it.. here's one http://www.staytuned.ws/Articles/AIDS.html

From another site...
The "official" story supplied by the top AIDS expert, Robert Gallo, is that the AIDS virus originated in African green monkeys and somehow "jumped species" into African blacks. From there it supposedly spread to Manhattan via the Haitian connection

I don't know what to believe anymore. :Oh crap

But HIV/AIDS aren't the only bad viruses on the scene these days.. there are mycoplasmas (badass bacteria that happen to be patented by an Army researcher I think... a couple strains anyway), new super smart strains of Herpes, Hepatits C, WNV, Sars...

I wonder who owns what.

AIDS is mother nature's way of battling over-population and degeneracy.

In the coming decades we will see an increasing rate of vicious viruses and virus mutations, and it will reach such a rate that medical technology will have no chance of keeping up.

don't forget Ebula that is some scary ass shit there... once every 10 years or so an outbreak happens and about the only thing they can do, is block the area off and wait for everyone to die... just think if they end up with an outbreak in some major city over there... insted of some village in the hills.

I think it's been about 10 years should be another outbreak sometime soon.

I like you, run for something, I'll vote for you.

The difference with Ebola is that it currently is only transferred through contact with open sores and bodily fluids. In a modern city it could easily be identified, the person quarantined and the spread stopped.
