16 trials, 0 conversions...
 

So I've been sending this new sponsor a little traffic over the past couple weeks. Nothing too major. I end up pulling 16 trials out of it. Not bad, the tour seems to convert pretty decent, about 1:300 overall with my filtered traffic. I've seen and done much better with similar traffic, but whatever. I'm looking over my stats, and not one of these fuckers has converted to a monthly membership. I'm used to pushing PPS so I'm not quite sure what to make of this yet...

What would you do? I'm about to stop pushing them, think I should try a little longer?

Hold out but stick to the PPS. :2 cents:

This is exactly why I prefer to stick with PPS. The members area is something I can't control so retentions could be absolutely horrible and I could do nothing about it. Whereas on a per signup basis, my role ends at the signup.

Or Promote Sites that guys sign up to see that special girl.

I do PPS for most sites.

Always check the members area when pushing recurring..

Its your responsibility to get the surfer to the sponsor
which seems your doing ok

it's the sponsors responsibility to
1. convert them
2. retain them

if they dont do their job then find a new one.
and as always talk to your sponsor, or their account rep.
never just sign up and let it be. webmaster feedback is a vital part of running a successful program. and if they cant take constructive critiscm or at least consider ideas of ways to improve their member retention then fuck um

Fuck trials... if your surfer really wants the content, they'll pay full price

I have similar experiences Sly. I've gotten 30 or so trials, then only 5 or so which converted to monthly, 2 of which have been recurring for the past 6 months. So you never know with recurring, sometimes you end up getting people who recur forever and it makes up for all those trials that didnt convert to monthly.

The kicker is this isn't even a recurring program. It's a hybrid. You get a flat fee for trials, another fee for full month, and another fee for 3 month. The members area must really suck...

I would talk to your sponsors first and ask them to check that the membrship is recurring automatically.
I had the same trouble with Large cash and it turned out they the trial wasnot renewing unless the customer specifically asked for it.
